Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Pivotal PT's birthing support different from a doula?

Our therapists bring specialized physical therapy training to the birth space — including hands-on pelvic floor techniques, positioning for optimal fetal descent, and perineal support. This clinical expertise complements (and does not replace) the emotional support a doula provides.

Can I choose any tier regardless of where I plan to deliver?

Yes. Our preparation tiers are available to all patients. Tier 3 birthing support is available for home births, birth centers, and hospital deliveries in our service area.

When should I start childbirth prep sessions?

We recommend starting preparation sessions in the second or early third trimester (around 20–28 weeks) to allow adequate time for education and practice before your due date.

Do you offer virtual childbirth prep?

Yes. Our online childbirth preparation course is available as a standalone purchase or as part of Tier 2 and Tier 3 packages. Contact us for details.
