Pelvic Health Services
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
Specialized, one-on-one care for the muscles, connective tissue, and nerves of the pelvic region for women and men.
What Is Pelvic Floor PT?
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that form the base of the pelvis. These structures support your bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs; and play a critical role in bladder and bowel control, sexual function, and core stability.
When the pelvic floor is too tight, too weak, or poorly coordinated, it can cause a wide range of symptoms — from leaking urine when you sneeze to chronic pelvic pain. Pelvic floor physical therapy uses hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercise, and education to restore normal function.
At Pivotal PT & Wellness, every session is one-on-one with your therapist. We never rush you through a cookie-cutter program — your treatment plan is built around your specific goals and needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your initial evaluation is a comprehensive 60 minute session. Your therapist will review your history, discuss your goals, and perform a thorough assessment, which may include an internal pelvic floor exam if appropriate and consented to.
Is an internal exam required?
No. An internal exam is never required and is always performed only with your full informed consent. Your therapist will explain all assessment options and work within your comfort level.
How many sessions will I need?
Every patient is different. After your initial evaluation your therapist will outline a recommended treatment plan. Many patients see significant improvement within 3-4 sessions.
Do you accept insurance?
We are a cash-based practice. If desired, we can provide detailed superbills you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. HSA, FSA, debit, and credit cards are accepted. The initial evaluation is $170, and follow up visits are $140. Treatment packages are available for a discounted rate. Be sure to talk to your therapist about this at your first visit.
